PD0008 Scanning Compliance
Cleardata can scan documents to BSI's Code of Practice PD0008.
This is the highest level of legal admissibility for scanned documents and data, maximising their value in a court of law.
Scanned documents are acceptable in almost all cases these days by Government Agencies such as the Inland Revenue and Courts of Law. Guidelines such as the British Standard PD0008 have allowed this. Cleardata’s procedures and scanning bureau has been specifically designed to include facilities that assist a company’s compliance to PD0008: 1999, Legal Admissibility and Evidential Weight of Information Stored Electronically.
Scanning documents to PD0008 (also known as BIP 0008), sets a benchmark for procedures that business should follow in order to achieve best practice, and therefore, legal admissibility of their electronic documents.
It goes without saying that quality and security is paramount in all our customers' minds. Cleardata has invested in the latest equipment and management systems to deliver peace of mind for all, including NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and 30 of the FTSE 250 companies.
